D25 weekend

The first weekend for D25 RMXA racing is in the books. Overall I was consistent this weekend but the track was not one that I'm looking forward to going back to. Thankfully we go back one more time this year and by then thing will be set and I can just ride.

First of all, deep sand is not my friend. I love to just twist the throttle and go, and here you twist and twist and you still go slow. Not to mention i had a big crash in practice because other riders can't follow the simple rule of, "Roll right and Jump Left." Needless to say I'm now considering putting my Asylum Start date that I was SOOOO looking forward to back a couple more days. While I ice my wounds at least.

Racing in the Springs

Colorado race weekend in the springs was fun and rough all rolled up into one. First off the wife and I were traveling without our racing buddy Jeff this weekend. No big deal, more us time right? Well, The trip down on Saturday was a nice drive and we arrived with the help of the GPS just in time to hit the track running.

Success in a Better You

Here I sit. Working away the day and planning for the big outdoor weekend. I have talked and engaged in many good conversations with so many different people about different things. But the one thing I keep running into is people that say they were having rough time yet when they tell me their story they seem to be having great success.

I want to put these successes out there for you, for everyone, and for those that had them. Everyone needs a bit of help along the path of being healthy, they need help staying on track, and the helpee needs that very same thing. I draw inspiration from those that are willing to share. It really does help one keep right. But for this to happen I need those willing to try.

Why Beachbody Coaching?

I guess its a good time to give my reasons, my reasons for being a Beachbody Coach that is. I already have an awesome job as a Project Engineer, why pursue a career with Beachbody also? Well, this is a very complex and simple answer all in one. I want to be and stay healthy.

Yep its that simple, but here comes the complex part. How? Well, by coaching I am always staying in contact with healthy people, getting new ideas from them all the time and everyday I have someone approach me with some sort of question about something in this field. It keeps me thinking, keeps me talking and it keeps me on track.

Focus On The Core

This is just one of the many things I've come to realize in the past year or so.... The Core is everything and its something none of us take care of. Body Core Strength and Sports Power is a good article about this very subject. Though I will encourage my followers to try out a Shaun T program (Like Insanity) because he takes all the thinking out if the equation and you just go and the core will get tight. I'm proof of this lately. I can see abs in my pictures and it feels great. This is the first time ever and you know its just the beginning.

P90X Before and After

After Insanity

Join me on my next workout or try something that I've already done. Insanity gets great reviews from me and many others. Most enjoy the energy and speed of the program. Are you ready? When are you going to make you life change? Go to www.beachbodycoach.com/mx83pete and take the challenge today!

Weekend Racing & Ultimate Reset

Well peeps! I had two things going on this weekend. One, was Beachbodies Super Saturday, informational and helpful also I like to see whats coming and why. This presentation unveiled a new supplement pack called Ultimate Reset.

The Idea behind this is a 21 day supplement cycle that is going to clean all the toxins and everything out of your system. It something that I know I need to do. But here is the thing, this is NOT something I'm going to do on my own. I need a few people that are willing to talk with me back and forth via text, email or facebook that will be doing it also. This is one area I struggle with and I'm calling out to all you that also struggle with diet to join with me.

Insanity: 60 days to a better you!

Well, today was my final day of Insanity. It was probably the quickest 60 days I've ever felt and I have to say this is my kind of program. It is a bit advanced but this program does as advertised. Can't wait to send in my picture because I can honestly say that after this workout I can finally see some abs. This is a first for me.

My Story

Well, my transformation story starts awhile back. Five or so years before I discovered Beachbody products; it begins during my senior year of college at the University of Wyoming. I lived by myself, and the2006 winter Olympics were in full force. It was mid-terms time and I had not slept in nearly 36 hours and it was 3 am and I had a big exam at 8 am. I remember all this because I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep and I was watching the Czech hockey team play Latvia. Yep you guessed it I never got to sleep and I ended up taking the exam and my head was literally all messed up.

At this point in time I was pushing 220 to 230 lbs., a smoker, and had no direction in my life what so ever. I visited the doc… What did she tell me? Well, one I was depressed and that is what caused the sleepless nights. Two, I need to lose weight. 220 normally isn’t real bad but I’m short, yep I’m just a little guy and that means I should be somewhere around 155 MAX.

At that time I found the treadmill, my bicycle, and running shoes. This held me down to 175-180 for about four to five years. At this time though, if I ever ate more than 1500 calories in a day. Well, I'd gain what really seemed to be five pounds. This was slowly pulling me back to where I had come from years ago.

Family problems and my Professional Engineers Exam slowly got me into the rut once again. Well, then November 2011 came around. I had met this cool kid on the Team Beachbody site and he led me to this group of individuals that called themselves Team Matrix, and they have been nothing but great in support of my transormation. So, I sat down the night after taking my PE exam and said its time to change things. I started P90X, November 1, with the goal of getting things going right.

I did it religiously... Even Christmas morning and New Year’s Day and by mid-January I was feeling great and the weather was nice. My passion of Motocross was about to get more passionate. I was invited to hit the track with my friends. I had so much strength in my arms and I was in such great shape that I earned the nick name of Iron Man on the track that week. I could finally feel the effects of what I was doing. To be honest, at this time nearly at the end of the 90 days I had only lost 5 pounds. I was down from 183 to 178. P90X got me down to 173 by the end but I was visually different, attitude was awesome and I was eyeing Insanity.

Final piece to this puzzle for me, my grandpa over the past four years or so was having all type of heart problems. I started reading books on how this is happening and how it’s an American (western) diet problem. And in this January where I was finally putting things together I realized I might be able to help a few others figure it out with the help of Beachbody. I found myself staring at the link on the Team Beachbody website to become a coach every day. So, I did it! I signed up and bought the Insanity Challenge pack.

Lastly, Shaun T has been the one to finally get me over that last hurdle. The 170 hurdle was now long gone and I had no plans on slowing down (I’m now at 158). Shaun T made my motocross even easier and I’ve even gotten a couple sponsorship offers. I owe my happiness and my success in work and play to Beachbody and Team Matrix.

Lets hear your story!
